Carefully trim the edge of your flowers at an angle to enable them to collect some moisture during travel
Pop them in a vase and give them a soak in water for a minimum of 1-2 hours
3. Once they have had a good amount of water, wrap them bottom of the stems up in some damp kitchen towel to keep them moist during travel
4. Tightly wrap the damp kitchen towel with some tin foil to avoid any water escaping so it can travel up to the buds
5. Put the stems into a food bag. If the bag has a zip lock, seal the bag as much as possible then add an elastic band over the bag for extra security. If the bag does not have a zip or any other fastening, seal the bag with some sellotape and an elastic band
6. Once the stems are nice and secure, your flowers will be ready to box up
7. Scrunch up some newspaper and place it inside the box around the stems ensuring the flowers are in a secure and upright position.
Inside the box, please make sure you include a note stating your name, contact details and order number
Clearly mark the outside of the box with the words ‘FRAGILE’ as well as some arrows pointing upwards with ‘THIS WAY UP, FRESH FLOWERS ENCLOSED’ written next to them
Do NOT use cling film around the flower heads or place bubble wrap in the box for extra padding. This could damage the flowers
